Vintage Corbin Cabinet Lock & Key $75

Apparently the Corbin Cabinet Lock Company was formed in 1882  and may still be in business.  Back in the day, a place called New Britain located in the Eastern United States, Connecticut, was called the "Hardware City".  This was because many companies were manufacturing. 

Now, in 2024, many manufacturing companiers are no longer around.  Either just disappearing from the business landscape in New Britain and so many other locations, or going out of business for various reasons and changes over the century.

The memory of manufacturers and makers of useful stuff lives on in the products created over a hundred years ago... and still work!.
