What do you remember about last Tuesday?
For me to remember I had to stop typing. I noticed I turned my head, my focus, away from the computer screen and looked out the window, outside to the trees in the landscape. But actually, I wasn’t focusing on anything in the outer world because even though I was staring out the window, what I saw was inside me, or maybe beyond me. Some would say I was inside my head, or lost in thought, or daydreaming. What would you say?
Did anyone say… oh, you were tapping into the Akashic Field?
What is the Akashic?
I was chatting amongst a group once and someone asked that question. In order to answer it I tried to assess what information the questioner might already have in their own being, their own field, in order to conceptualize a new and different piece of information. Also, I made a quick assessment of - does this questioner really want to Know this, or are they seeking a one sentence definition. Interest level matters.
I gave a response on the question after my 10 second assessment, and after my response another person in the group also gave a suggestion, which in fact was more useful to the questioner. The second response came from a person who was more in resonance with the questioner. Meaning much closer in age, and having more types of shared experience and even shared DNA. I could say that the two were closer in frequency, or vibration. If I were an astrologer I may see this actual resonance by looking at the charts of the those involved.
In hindsight to that event I learned something. I learned several things actually:
- I learned that even if an individual is able to provide an answer to a given question, that person is not necessarily capable of transmitting the answer to another unless there is resonance, ie- something in common to base from. If I speak only english and you speak only greek, I can’t explain the answer to you. But I speak quantum physics and you speak spiritual kabbalah we would find a resonance and communicate easily on the topic.
- Hindsight is the akashic, in my view of it.
- This hindsight has altered my own field, my own akashic field of memory, by way of tapping in to the insight and changing me through that experience.
As I remember that experience right now, as I type and think about it I can also see it. I can stream the experience on some invisible screen available only to me. I am able to do this on a conscious level, at will, by remembering.
The screen is out there, available to everyone sitting in the theater so to speak. The Akashic Field is always streaming, but not on Netflix. If we tune in to a “show or a program” streaming on some platform, this is not a memory, this is actually a false reality. But many, so many, will remember this false reality and replay it, instead of their own true memory. In this way an overwrite of information occurs. In general, overwrite describes when new information replaces old information.
In general, history is remembered by those who lived it, for example - milking a cow. Personally I have never milked a cow, but I am certain my father and grandfather did. However, neither of them ever told me about the experience so I don’t have that memory to draw from. Unless a memory is passed down it gets lost. Right? We don’t know it.
Well, maybe not. Let's think of it in technology terms.
Apparently if you plan to pass on an iPhone or electronic device and you delete all your data- ie the bytes of memory stored, it still remains somewhere on the hard drive, the stored memory. And of course in the vast iCloud it lingers, and lasts. These days it is recommended to overwrite the data with "-a software process that replaces data previously stored on storage media with a predetermined set of meaningless data or random patterns." So in theory, you could just use, say a Netflix program to overwrite the data I guess.
Let’s go back to the question again. What Is The Akashic Field ?
In part one of a book called
The Akashic Experience - Science and the Cosmic Memory Field- -Ervin Laslo,
is a collection of first hand reports that recount the lived Akashic experiences of the report writers. One of these reports brings out an even larger question. Does the Akashic Field generated the physical world? If in determining and comprehending each for ourselves what the akashic is, then we may go on to ponder this discussion about the effect of this cosmic realm. The author of this particular report was born in 1952, before the iPhone or Netflix. In her retelling of her childhood experiences, some fifty years later, she says that growing up it was always clear to her that the Akashic Field generated the physical world, and not the other way around. She later went on to study quantum theory and cosmology at Oxford to gain further understanding.
For our understanding in November 2023 we might ponder the reality of our current time period, which is filled with false realities. Hence false memories?.
If I can re- view an experience I have had by way of re calling my memory of it, and in this process I can “ re live it” in my mind on an etheric level, is this a response - something offered in re-turn? Or a re-action, re-activation, a revolving door as re-gard to a prior in-fluence? If I watch a movie I can also review it in my mind- recall it. If I am able to I keep the movie information stored as merely data. Or does that information sometimes get mixed in and blended on the memory card of the masses.
I know. That’s a lot to take in.
We’ll focus on influence for a minute. The word influence originally came from “influentia and had the general sense of meaning as “ ‘an influx, flowing matter’, [ and ] also specifically in astrology ‘the flowing in of ethereal fluid (affecting human destiny)’. "
And even further in word language influentia was to mean “The sense imperceptible or indirect action exerted to cause changes’. This meaning of wording -“was established in Scholastic Latin by the 13th century, but not recorded in English until the late 16th century.”
Isn’t this so interesting. Isn't this an established profession in our time- the job of an ' Influencer '.
Our Questions Again : What is the Akashic Field? Does the Akashic Field generate the physical world? Let’s add this to the second question; - and if so can the akashic field be influenced by …human memory, human thought.
In a book titled Raja Yoga copyright 1902 -the glossary gives us the definition of Akasha this way. -" Akasa ….The all-pervading material of the universe " -Swami Vivekananda. 1863-1902
In his 2004 book Science and the Akashic Field, pg 76 -Ervin Laszlo refers to Swami Vivekananda and the philosophers of India at length. He tells us that
“the Akasha is the all penetrating existing. … everything that is the result of combination is evolved out of this Akasha…..Akasha is an all encompassing medium that underlies all things and becomes all things”.
Laszlo then tells us that NikolaTesla,
Laszlo notes that Tesla’s insight fell into oblivion, yet in this modern time 100 years later it is being revived.“ spoke of an “original medium” that fills space and compared it to Akasha, "the light carrying ether.”
Was anyone taught about Nikola Tesla is school? Was I just singularly oblivious to his work? Or, how about Rudolf Steiner? If you are knowledgeable of Steiner you are likely quite familiar with the Akashic, or his book Cosmic Memory.
These sources I have offered here give us some insight and some concept to begin to answer for ourselves - what is the akashic field ?. There is much more spiritual and scientific thought on record regarding this topic if you find it fascinating. …Or, to say it in the late 16th century sense of the word - bewitched.
The purpose of this writing is more to ask the questions rather than answer them. From others we can get information, but the answer, to be true, comes from within our own Self.
I will wrap this up with Rumi, a kindred spirit, whom I met decades ago out in the field - maybe I'll see you there too.
*********
"Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other”doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the door sill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”
