Hideous Hundred Handed Creatures
The Centimani were three sons of Uranus and Gaea. They were named Cottus, Briareus, and Gyges. Briareiis (bri-a're-us) Gyges (ji'jez), or Gyes.
In the older versions of the mythology these mythical monsters were said to be creatures with a hundred hands. Later stories described them as creatures with 50 heads and 50 arms and now in modern time they are called creatures with a hundred head. Whichever way they are descibed they are still monsters.
But the name Centimani itself does actually confirm the old stories since Centi represents 100 and Mani comes from the ancient word manus, or hand. A manicure is hand care.
The stories of the Centimani say that they helped the Olympians, Jupiter (Zeus in Greek myths) and other gods, in defeating the Titans, Uranus Gaia and the original gods. The Titans were the Parents of the Olympians.
In the Greek myths Hecatoncheires (hek-a-ton-ki'rez) were the same as Centimani.
