Well, in 1921 this was the given meaning for organic:
organic (or-gan-'ik) adj, pertaining to, composed of, containing, or produced by, organs. ALSO, organical
June of 1924 a group was gathered in Koberwitz, now Kobierzyce, Lower Silesia, Poland.
"Indeed, it is deeply gratifying that we are able to hold this Agriculture Course here in the house of Count and Countess Keyserlingk. I know from my former visits what a beautiful atmosphere there is in Koberwitz — I mean also the spiritual atmosphere. In 1925 the word organic still has a similar listing in a dictionary of that year
or-gan'ic (Or-gan'îk), a. [4] 1.Of or pertaining to an organ or a system of organs; as, the organic structure of animals. 2. Pertaining to, or derived from, living organisms; as, organic matter. 3. Pertaining to, or inherent in, a certain organization or structure; constitutional; as, an organic defect.

...in 1924 was the setting of the foundation for biodynamic farming practices that were already being developed because it was understood as being crucial for future generations of farmers. Thank you to those at this gathering.
In 1953 the meaning of the word organic has become more complex
And the definition includes the use of the word chemical in the definition and also adds a new idea -4. having a physical organization similar to that of living things

For Agriculture especially is sadly hit by the whole trend of modern spiritual life. You see, this modern spiritual life has taken on a very destructive form especially as regards the economic realm, though its destructiveness is scarcely yet divined by many." -Rudolf Steiner
By the 1950's the signs were there as the chemical industries seeped into farming;

Successful Farming was a publication covering practical information for business farmers. It was established in 1902 and was published monthly

"These undertakings were created by industrialists, business men, but they were unable to realise in all directions what lay in their original intentions, if only for the reason that the opposing forces in our time are all too numerous, preventing one from calling forth a proper understanding for such efforts. Over against the “powers that be,” the individual is often powerless. "
But these farmers and researchers were not powerless! One hundred years later we can find this legacy of Rudolf Steiner, and every person attending the Agriculture Course in 1924, in the spread of organic and biodynamic agriculture practices.
In 1980's the meaning of the word expands even more.
Now we have included chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, farming and food all as being related to the single word.
In 2002 this common dictionary only includes the word organic withinin the definition of organ.
And after 100 years the word meaning looks a lot different.
