DID YOU KNOW?
The lightest gas or substance in Nature is hydrogen. It also makes up almost every thing because it makes up about 90 % of all atoms.
Two ancient Greek words make up the name - hydr [meaning water] and gen [origin, birth ]
Its Latin name hydrogenium stems from the Greek words hydr and gennao which mean “producing water”. The name was proposed in 1779 by A. Lavoisier after the composition of water had been established. -from the book Elements HowThey Were Discovered by D. N. Trifonov and V. D. Trifonov
Water is H₂O which is 2 parts Hydrogen and 1 part Oxygen
Some say hydrogen is the fuel of the sun. But...it burns with a blue flame, giving out only a little light but great amounts heat. Why don't we see a blue sun?
While in an inflamed burning condition, by being intensely heated, hydrogen combines with the oxygen contained in the air, and water is formed. This water is called hydric oxide. Hydric 'peroxide is another description of water, and it has a metallic taste.
So is this why rain falls down, not up?
Hydrogen Peroxide is H2O2, Hydrogen 2 parts and Oxygen 2 parts. The extra oxygen is what makes it bubble and clean. When Hydrogen Peroxide gets exposed to heat or light or things is starts to decompose, it breaks down and separates, and this reaction causes the germs and stuff on whatever it touches to also break down, leaving a sort of bleaching effect. Pure hydrogen peroxide is a pale blue color but the bottled product we use is diluted with water and is only a small percent of pure hydrogen peroxide.
Hydrogen has the least weight of all the elements that make up matter.
Matter is simply a mass of atoms It is all the things formed or birthed by atoms coming together. It is all things material that you can see, touch taste smell, maybe even hear.
"Even in those bygone times, when chemistry was not a science yet and when alchemists were still searching for the “philosophers 1 stone”, hydrochloric, sulphuric, and nitric acids as well as iron and zinc were already known. In other words, man had in his possession all components whose reaction could give rise to hydrogen. " -from the book Elements HowThey Were Discovered by D. N. Trifonov and V. D. Trifonov
