Most every understands the code 10-4. but what about 10-5 or 10-10 ?
Roger, or Roger That is also another way to say 10-4.
Roger Willco Over And Out, for example means -Message Understood, I Will Comply, Message Complete, Conversation Complete
I once worked at a large place where we had to use radios, pretty much like walkie talkes, to talk to other staff who might be far away, or on a delivery. We had to all use the same codes to keep conversations short, to the point, and understood the same way by everyone.
These are some of the codes we used
| CODE | MEANING |
| Go Ahead | I'm ready for your message |
| Stand By | I can't take your message now --or will get back to you in a minute |
| Roger That | Got The Message or Understood |
| Say Again | Repeat all of that last message |
| Over | Message complete- (I'm done talking so you can talk now} |
| Roger So Far | I Understand the message so Far- used in longer communications |
Other Codes can be used to say these same meanings
| 10-5 | Go Ahead | I'm ready for your message |
| 10-6 | Stand By | I can't take your message now --or will get back to you in a minute |
| 10-4 | Roger That | Got The Message or Understood |
| 10-9 | Say Again | Repeat all of that last message |
| 10-10 | Over | Message complete- (I'm done talking so you can talk now} |
| Roger So Far | I Understand the message so Far- used in longer communications |
