ANTIQUITIES- Mythology and Myths

Deep truths are embedded in the myths.  Before the modern natural sciences were born and raised, the mythologies of the ancients lived and cultivated the knowledge of reality, the ideas of creation, the symbologies of nature.

Myths and the study of mythology is rooted in the underlying awareness that the origin of these rests upon the indigenous ancient peoples' consciousness of the connection of humans as the microcosm, with the macrocosm.

Different civilizations left us divergent conceptions of their connection to the universe, but the similarities of the mythologies are the recognition of connection.

There are various blood types in humans, but all humans bleed the red blood.

As a person ages the experiences lived become stories, and these are viewed and reviewed and understood in changing ways that can only be had in the culmination of years.   A valley dweller may have a view of the mountains but live day to day in the valley.   Until the mountain is climbed the view of the valley is limited.

The civilizations that dwelt in deserts and told their stories may not be understood by the fisherman in Alaska.   But always, before understanding, is learning.  Myths are the stories for learning and leading the way.   And one day we understand the word of the ancient Greeks, elektron, "beaming sun" has tremendous relevance to being able to view these words on an electronic device.  We all see the same sun.

Our stories may be told from the temples of Egypt or the gulags of Siberia, and they may have different characters, but we have all lived beneath the same sun,

and this sheds light on everything.
