Franz Hartmann's work The Life and Doctrines of Paracelsus was published in 1891. Hartmann was, like Paracelsus, a medical doctor.
Hartmann wrote of Paracelsus in the latter phase of the 19th century, which was the latter phase of his own life. He wrote after years of experiences in various regions of the world and within worlds beyond the realm of medicine.
